MLM Prospecting: 4 Tips You Must Be Aware Of For Powerful Outcomes

Before I get into today's post on MLM prospecting, I'll be the first to say that I'm not expert on this subject... Having said that, let me also say that although the previous sentence is true, these tips DO work, and if you can remember to put into action these 4 things in your daily prospecting efforts, they will work for you too.

MLM Prospecting: Tip #1

CONTACT YOUR LEADS!!! - I can't believe that I'm having to say this here, but this tip gets disregarded more than any other... Especially when it comes to Online Marketing.

Most Marketers feel that since they're marketing on the Internet, they think it's okay to, "let the system do all of the work for them". What they fail to comprehend is that regardless of whether you build your business online, offline, or BOTH, Network Marketing is all about developing relationships. People join people, not systems and companies. I'm sure you've heard this before.

So, while I feel that this should go without saying, I can't state it enough. If you want to become effective with your MLM prospecting, start by contacting your leads as they come in.

MLM Prospecting: Tip #2

Establish Rapport - Once you have overcome your fear of calling your leads, once you get them on the telephone, the first thing you should do is establish a rapport with them. Let them know that there is an actual person behind the marketing system. Be sure to NOT make the conversation about you. Center your conversation around them and what they're looking for. This brings me to tip #3...

MLM Prospecting: Tip #3

LISTEN!! - After calling your leads, this is the most important tip I can give you on how to execute your MLM prospecting effectively. Your goal is to basically get your prospects to open up to you. Since they have opted in to your list, the likelihood of them doing so are very good... But, you have to give them the opportunity to do so. Sure, you may ask them questions to get information, but when you do, listen to what they are trying say. One way you can do this is to take notes on what they say. By doing this, you're forced to listen to them, and you have notes that you can look back on after your conversation. You can, subsequently, use these notes to come up with a solution to their problem, which will help your prospect move forward... Possibly with you.

MLM Prospecting: Tip #4

Be Yourself - I found MLM prospecting to be much easier once I understood that I can by who I am and still produce results. I remember the days when I did all of my MLM prospecting solely over the phone. I always felt like I had to portray myself as a "professional". To be honest, that made me feel awkward to the point that my prospecting efforts started dwindling until I eventually stopped.

A perfect example of being yourself while still being successful in your prospecting is David Wood. If you know him, you certainly understand what I'm talking about.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not stating that it's okay to lack any professionalism what so ever, (I'm not saying that David does) but, it's okay to have a bubbling personality because, along with your expertise and knowledge, it will only improve, and enhance your daily MLM prospecting efforts.
